My household doesn't use salt at all (I grew up in a salt-free household) and we avoid products with added salt, because we don't think salt is food. Many natural foods contain sodium, which the body needs, but they don't have the flavour enhancement of salt. Saltbush, however, is definitely food and it's such a great way to provide that salty-ish taste to cooked and raw food. We love it.

I LOVE the Old Man Saltbush Flakes!
I initially bought them to use for seasoning food and then realized that I could enjoy them as a herbal infusion/tea.
I can honestly say that it is now my very favourite tea! - mild, green, warm, earthy and a little salty. Absolutely delicious and almost tastes a little like a broth and the health benefits are amazing too.
